Slack Notification Integration

Configure Slack alerts in a few minutes and make sure your team is notified instantly when a monitor goes down.

1

Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack

  • Open Slack API portal and create/select your app.
  • Enable Incoming Webhooks.
  • Add a webhook to your workspace and choose the target channel.
  • Copy the generated webhook URL.
Open Slack API
2

Save Slack webhook in Uptime Assure

  • Go to Settings -> Notifications.
  • Enable Slack integration.
  • Paste the webhook URL and save notification settings.
3

Enable Slack channel per monitor

  • Open the monitor you want alerts for.
  • Set failure threshold (use 1 for testing).
  • In alert channels, enable Slack.
  • Save monitor changes.
4

Trigger and verify

  • Force a failure (invalid URL, timeout, or wrong expected status).
  • Wait for a check cycle or click Check Now.
  • Confirm DOWN alert appears in Slack and in Alert Logs.

Troubleshooting

  • No message on first failed check: incident threshold may not be reached yet.
  • Slack added after incident already started: send a fresh failed check after saving channels.
  • Webhook URL incorrect or revoked in Slack.
  • Monitor alert channels do not include Slack.
  • Alert worker not running (check backend logs).
