Can I monitor websites I don't own?

You may only monitor URLs for which you have explicit permission — either your own properties or services where the owner has authorised monitoring. Monitoring third-party websites without permission violates our Terms of Service.

How often does Uptime Assure check my website?

It depends on your plan. Free checks every 5 minutes, Basic every 3 minutes, Pro every 1 minute, and Enterprise every 30 seconds. You can configure any available interval per monitor.

What types of monitors are supported?

HTTP/HTTPS (status code check), keyword match (checks if a specific word appears on the page), SSL certificate expiry, DNS resolution, TCP port, and domain WHOIS expiry. HTTP/HTTPS monitors also support optional SEO Health checks — automatically auditing robots.txt, sitemap.xml, noindex directives, canonical tags, and meta title/description lengths once every 24 hours.

What is the failure threshold?

The number of consecutive failed checks before an incident is declared and alerts are sent. The default is 3 — meaning 3 consecutive failures must occur before an alert fires. You can lower it to 1 for immediate alerts or raise it to reduce false positives from transient network issues.

How does SSL monitoring work?

Enable SSL Monitoring on any HTTPS monitor and set an expiry threshold (default 30 days). We check your certificate on every run and alert you before it expires.

Does Uptime Assure follow redirects?

Yes. HTTP monitors follow up to 5 redirects by default. If the final destination returns an unexpected status code, the check is marked as failed.

What alert channels are available?

Email and Slack are the supported alert channels. Email is available on all plans. Slack is available on Basic and above. Alerts are sent to your account email and the Slack webhook configured in your settings.

How quickly are alerts sent after a failure?

Alerts go out within seconds of confirming an outage (i.e. after your failure threshold is exceeded). On the 30-second Enterprise plan, you can expect an alert within 30–60 seconds of actual downtime starting.

Yes. Go to Alert Templates to edit the subject and body of down and recovery alerts. Use dynamic placeholders like {{monitor_name}}, {{url}}, {{error}}, and {{down_since}} to include real incident data.

Will I get a recovery alert when my site comes back up?

Yes. As soon as the monitor passes a check after an incident, a recovery alert is sent to all configured channels.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you're billed the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Yes. Contact us at support@uptimeassure.in to request account deletion. We will permanently remove your account and all associated data. This action is irreversible.

How long is monitoring data retained?

Free plan: 7 days. Basic: 30 days. Pro: 90 days. Enterprise: 1 year. Check results older than the retention window are automatically deleted.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Monthly reports can be exported as CSV from the Reports page. This includes uptime %, average response time, and incident count per monitor.
